Yes on Measures T and U, Keep Pixar in Emeryville
Pixar Animation Studios hired Whitehurst/Mosher to manage two ballot measure campaigns to allow the expansion of its Emeryville campus. Pixar’s plan to double the size of its facilities and add parking was approved by the local Planning Commission and City Council. However, a local group led a campaign against the plan and forced the issue onto the ballot. WMCSM directed and managed all aspects of a creative grassroots campaign including coalition building, endorsements, field operations, and earned and paid media.
The measures won with over 80% of the vote. In addition to approving the development plans, the campaign also helped improve the relationship between Pixar and the Emeryville community.
Whitehurst/Mosher has worked on a wide variety of land use campaigns including passing Measure P in Pittsburg to establish an urban limit line and defeating Measure N in Napa County that would have prohibited the Napa Pipe development from moving forward
