Yolanda has more than nine years of experience in financial and administrative consulting at various levels of the government, education, nonprofit and private sectors. She is a fiscal and grants executive with a proven track record managing processes, procedures and staff.
In her previous position, as the deputy director for the DC State Commission for National and Community Service located within the Executive Office of the Mayor of Washington, DC, she was responsible for a broad range of programmatic, financial oversight and management duties. Some of her successes over the past seven years include the negotiation of competitive contracts to reduce expenses from $250K-$400K, reducing cash outlay by $1.25 million, achieving post-merger synergies of $3-$4 million annually and increasing the annual operating budget from $10-$15 million.
She also has excellent skills in strategic planning, budget forecasting and expenditures.
